Halloween Tag

Hello! So I know it's a day late but I thought it may still be fun to do, so here is the Halloween tag! I tag you all to do this.

1. What is your favorite Halloween movie?

I would say one of the Halloweentown movies that they play on Disney channel, and of course any Horror films. I love Horror films like the Saw films, Final Destination films, insidious etc..

2. 1-10, how much do you enjoy Halloween?

It really depends what I am doing but honestly I would probably say 10! Just because I love doing Halloweeny makeup and trick or treating  (yes I still trick or treat)

3. What's your fondest Halloween memory?

I have quite a lot, last year was nice but yesterday (so Halloween this year) me and some friends went to this Haunted house thing which was scary, and then we went trick or treating and some guy gave us a beer and that was pretty funny hahaha

(We are outside Wickes because we were looking for a toilet.. hahaha)

4. Have you always been a Halloween lover?
Yeaaah I'm pretty sure I have! Think I've trick or treated every year...

5. How do you get into the Halloween spirit?
Do my makeup all dark and carve pumpkins!

6. Favorite Halloween decorations?
Pumpkins and we have these little ghost fairy lights which are cute, here is my pumpkin!

7. Favorite halloween/fall scent?
My absolute favourite candle that I own is actually by Air Wick who make air fresheners.  It is one of their colour changing candles so its really cool but the scent of it is called 'Mulled Wine and Cinnamon Apples' and it's sooo lovely and smells just like Autumn/Halloween.

8. Favorite candy?
I love drumstick lollies, anything sour, chewy sweets like moams and Haribo tangfastics are my favourites.  I do prefer chocolate though so I love getting little treat size chocolate bars and things.

9. Vampires or zombies?
Umm well I prefer zombie films.. but I would rather be face to face with a vampire (As long as it wasn't going to like suck my blood)

10. What is your weird/odd fear?
I genuinely don't know what I am scared of which is annoying because I don't really have a fear... but oh well ;)

11. Last but not least, do you believe in ghosts?
Yeaaah I do actually!

Anyway that's the end for this tag!  I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you all had a great Halloween yesterday (or whenever it was for you).
I tag everyone reading this to do this tag! Please link it below in the comments if you did/do.

Let me know in the comments what you dressed up as if you did!

Happy Halloween!

I really liked my eye makeup for Halloween but I forgot to take a photo.. :(

Halloween Makeup | Possessed Doll

Happy Halloween! (For Tomorrow)

Hello, today I'm going to show you the makeup and hair I'm planning on wearing for Halloween. Its a great last minute look as I had all of this and didn't need to buy anything new. The items used your most likely to already own otherwise you can purchase them for an inexpensive amount. Hope you enjoy.

First I'm juts going to apply a foundation that's slightly lighter than my natural skin tone to make me appear paler than I actually am. Here I'm using 'Revlon's Photo Ready foundation' in the shade '004 Nude'. I have to admit for my skin type I don't find this to be a great concealer it would suit much better for people with oily skin but it'll do for Halloween. I just loaded 2 pumps onto my hand and blended it in a circular motion all over my face using my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.

Now just for a slight more coverage I'm applying my holy grail concealer, 'Collection Ever Lasting Perfection', in the shade 'Medium 3'. I just dot this where I have any redness or scaring from blemishes. I don't apply this under my eyes, which you'll find out why later. Again I bland this in using my Expert Face Brush, as I find it gives the best coverage.

Now I just like to powder my face, to set the foundation and concealer. However I don't apply to much of this as I don't want my skin looking overly matte. I prefer my skin to have a dewy look to it. Here I'm using my Collection Pressed Powder in the shade 'Tender Touch 02'.

Now here's why I didn't apply any concealer under my eyes. Taking a white pencil eye liner draw a half circle from one and of your eye to the other, try to keep it around the same size as your eyes to make it look even. Also line your water line. The one I'm using is 'Maybelline's expression Kajal gentle precision eyeliner' in the shade '35 white'. I love this product it applies lovely on the water line, its so creamy and pigmented, and you could do this with one coat.

Then fill in the circle with the pencil and smoothen it out using your fingers. This makes a good base when applying eye shadow.

Now taking a flat shaded brush here I'm using this one by Real Techniques. Pack on as much white eye shadow as possible don't be shy here, as we want this to be super white. Place it on top of the eye pencil we just did, until you have a consistency your happy with. Then place it on your lid and blend out using a clean brush.

Next take a black eye pencil and lightly draw the outline of the white eye line. Be extra gentle when doing this so is you make a mistake its easy to wipe away. But if you do make a mistake don't worry as this is just a trace line were creating. Do this to both eyes until your happy with the shape.

Then go over the black eye pencil either using a liquid or pen eye liner. I used a pen as I found it easier to get the precision. This particular one is from Seventeen, and its called the 'Make Your Mark Precision Eyeliner Pen'. Once you've completed the outline feel free to add as little or as many eyelashes as you like. I only did a few and made then quite cartoon looking, as I didn't want it to look too perfect. I then lined my upper lash line with the pen very lightly just to make my lashes appear thicker.

Yay! eye's are done now were going to make the stitched mouth. First were going to do the same as we did for the eyes and using the same black eye pencil get the shape your happy with, try and get each side as symmetrical to the other as possible. When your happy with the shape go over the line with your eye liner pen, and add some lines or crosses to look like the stitches.

Finally apply generous coats of your favorite mascara. Be sure to apply lots and if you can/want to apply fake lashes, we want our lashes to appear really 'doll like', I used two coats of benefits they're real mascara. However don't apply any mascara to your bottom lashes as we want them to be as hidden as possible because we've created new ones.

However if you wanted this to be a complete drugstore look I'd recommend 'Rimmel Scandleyes' mascara, this is my favorite drugstore mascara I've tried.

Now what you want to do is take you concealer and apply it to both sides of you lips, this is so we can reshape our own lips to appear more doll like. I then smiled and dabbed this into my lips using my finger and I found it gave a better coverage.

Next using a Red Lip Liner, outline a small set of lips onto of your own. This makes the stitching look a lot more effective, and I think it just looks really cool! Then using the same lip liner rill in the outline. The reason I've used a lip liner rather than a lipstick is because lip liner's have a longer lasting power than lipsticks and we don't want your lips to start disappearing after eating all those sweets.

Wahoo! Hair time. Were going to create to high bunches. I personally do this because it reminds be of a doll more than anything else I was to do with my hair, but if you don't want to do that feel free to do your hair however you like it.

First I'm going to brush out all my hair to make sure all the knots are out. Then I'm going to split it down the middle and take each section to the top of my head and tie it off using a hairband.

Your hair should then look like this..

And you should be done. You can wear this look with pretty much anything. I think I'm going to wear it with some tights and a black skater skirt, not sure what top yet though.

Comment bellow what your going as for Halloween, or let me know if you try to recreate this look.

Smokey Eye Look (incorporated purple) | Perfect for Halloween

So if your thinking of sporting a smokey eye look this autumn, I thought I'd show you how to add a bit of color into your look, I added purple as i thought it would be a nice touch for Halloween. Let me know what you think in the comments and if you'd like to see more of these tutorials.

(apologies for the bad hair day, rocking the top knot!)

First to give my skin a really flawless look, I apply foundation. I've been loving this one by No7. I find it really brightens by skin while giving it a great coverage.

I like to apply my foundation using the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush which I've reviewed as you can see here: Brush Review. I really love this brush for any foundation I've tried it with, as your really able to buff the product into the skin, helping you get the best finish from your foundation.

Then the fun part, the eyes!

I first used a bright white color as the base, to really brighten the rest of the colors i'll be using in this look.

Today I decided to use this No7 palette I got a while ago and only just really rediscovered it. I chose the lightest color from this pallet and dusted it all over the lid, using the Real Techniques flat shader brush (which I used for all these eye shadows).

Next to get the smokey effect as well as the purple I've used this palette from avon in the shade purple haze.

1 - First I started to as then black shade in my crease and outer corners, the trick when doing to is to add and small amount then with a clean shading brush blend out any harsh lines. This does take some practice and in all honesty I'm no professional and mess this up all the time, but I enjoy practicing it, and practice makes perfect.

2 - Next I add this deep purple/cranberry color in the center of my lid and blend it out. This i found helped remove the harsh lines and you only need a very small amount for this, remember you can always add on top, but cant always take off.

3 - Now just to add more of a pop of color, I decided to add this lilac color just below my water line, I found this definitely made the look a bit more festive and colorful.

Then for the eyes I decided to add a cat eye effect, with my favorite liquid eye liner from Bourjois. I love this liquid eye liner and find it easy to use on myself, I am able to get the correct shape I want as the tip of the brush applicator is very thin. But by all means use what works best for you weather that's, a pen, pencil, gel, or liquid liner.

Finally to finish off I like to follow up with a few coats of my favorite mascara by benefit, it't the they're real mascara and its defiantly the best one I've ever tried, even though you could probably find one just as good in the drugstore.

Your eyes should be looking like this or similar

Now for the rest of your face.

First to remove any fallen shadow and discoloration that may still be showing through from your foundation. I use the Collection Ever Lasting Perfection concealer. When I already have product on my lower lash line, I find it easier to apply the concealer with my fingers, this way I can stop the product getting near my shadow.

To then get rid of any shine and to keep the rest of your makeup in place, I apply the collection pressed powder, and I'm in the shade 2 (tender touch). I mainly focus this on my forehead and nose , as I still like a dewy finish to my skin.

I apply my powder using the Clinique powder brush, I've been loving this brush lately as it feels really light on your skin and doesn't pickup to much product.

Then to contour my cheekbones I use the Jean Paul Gaultier bronzer, I think this is a great bronzer for contouring as its a matte bronzer so it doesn't make the shadow you create all glittery, and secondly it's the perfect consistency of bronze, not to orange and not to brown.

Lastly I like to add just a coat of lipgloss, by all means add a lipstick, but I found because we have alot going on with the eyes, I wanted to keep the lips nice and simple. I used the Flutter lipgloss in the shade 'Pink' and I love these lipglosses they're not sticky all and leave your lips lovely and glossy with a touch of sparkle.

I hope you enjoyed this makeup tutorial, let me know if you'd like to see more of these in future posts.
