What in my Makeup Bag

Hello, so here's what I've been keeping in my makeup bag recently. Its what I've been using recently at the moment, so I hope you like the post.

I got this makeup bag as a gift for my birthday around 2 or 3 years ago, I really like it but it it starting to get a bit dirty, I'm hoping to get a ted baker one because they look lovely, and they're waterproof with a shiny outer covering, so if you get any makeup stains on it, you can just wipe it off.
(To see the Ted Baker I'm hoping to get click: here)

Pure Essentials | Facial Makeup Wipes
These are just for makeup emergencies, you never know when you'll need a wipe, they do come in handy more than you think!

Real Techniques | Expert Face Brush
I use this too blend my foundation and concealer

 Bare Minerals | Foundation Brush
Although this is a foundation brush, I like to use this to apply blusher, it fits perfectly on the apples of my cheeks and picks up the perfect amount of blush.

 Club Works | Blusher
I used to use this a lot a while ago, and rediscovered it. Its a lovely deep pink colour that perfect for Autumn/Winter

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation | Ivory Biege
I got this foundation sample the other day, a review of it will be up tomorrow.

Clinique | Powder Brush
I use this to apply my powder, I like it as it doesn't pick up a lot of product, so when you apply the powder your still left with dewy looking skin.

 No7 Eyeshadow | Truffle
I wore this eyeshadow the other day, see my FOTD post wearing it here

Avon Palette | Purple Haze
I've been loving this palette recently, I've been trying to be a bit more daring with colored eyeshadow, and I'm loving encourporating purple.
I created a look using this palette in a post, see it here

Collection Concealer | Medium (3)
I've spoken about this concealer a lot, and haven't ever found one as good, you can purchase it in Superdrug or Boots for about £4

 Flutter Lip Gloss | Pink
I love these lip glosses again they were a gift, and they're not sticky at all just add a touch of gloss and look stunning on the lips.

 Bourjois | Liquid Liner
I love this product so much but I think its been discontinued as I cant find it anywhere, I'm also running out, please comment which liner you think I should buy next and if I should buy gel or liquid. I did a post on showing you how I create a winged eyeliner, see it here.

Collecting pressed power | Tender Touch 02
I love this powder and I purchased it with Alanah (who has the same) it controls the oils on my skin, without making me look overly matte, it was also very cheap at £1.99 in Superdrug.

 Benefits | They're Real Mascara
This is the best mascara I've ever tried I naturally have quite long eye lashes naturally, but this mascara just gives the lots of volume, and doesn't clump my lashes together.

 Flutter Lip Gloss | Nude
Same as the pink shade I again love this product, its nice to wear over a nude lipstick and has the perfect consistency.

 Real Techniques | Shading Brush
I bought this product not too long ago and its great for putting eyeshadow onto your lids. I've also found this to be quite good at blending, so its almost a 2 in 1 product, obviously a blending brush would be better, but maybe if you don't want to fork out for different brushes or just getting started on your makeup collection, this would be a great product to purchase.

 ME | Bronzing Shimmer
I like this product more in the summer, or for party's it just add's a touch of shimmer to your skin, not the perfect product for autumn and winter but I love this because what girl doesn't love shimmer.

Max Factor Kohl Pencil | 020 Black
I don't normally wear black eye liner on my water line, as it makes my eyes look very small, however I quite like to wear this on my lower or upper lash line, as it makes my eyelashes appear thicker and fuller. I don't wear this often but I keep it in my makeup bag rather than my draw as its small, and I think I may loose it if I place it anywhere other than my bag.

 No7 | Antique Rose

I've again recently rediscovered this product and it looks lovely on the lid, the great thing about this is its not overly vibrant so you could get away with this for school if your not aloud to wear much makeup.

Hope you like this post, sorry it was long
Comment your staple makeup product in your Makeup bag at the moment

How To | Winged Eyeliner/Cat Eye

Today I'm going to do a 'How To' post, I thought I'd show you how I apply my winged eyeliner. Just to let you all know I am not a professional in makeup or how to apply eyeliner, this is just how I apply it, and I find it easiest, hope you enjoy.

I'm going to show you how to create this

I use the bourjois liquid liner to create a winged eye liner. I love this product and find it so easy to use, its sadly been discontinued but any liquid liner with a thin brush would do. Mine is jet black because my mascara is also this shade, so it matches best.

Step 1 | clear eyes

I apply my eye makeup after applying concealer to my face. Make sure all your eye makeup has been removed from the day before, this will give you a clear base to see where to apply the line easily.

Step 2 | start of application

What I like to do is apply the liner in the center of the eye first. I then just find it easier to attach the wing this way later on. I make the eye very thin, and start by dabbing the brush horizontally against my lash line. Remember to not add to much product to the brush, you can always add on, but cant always remove.

Step 3 | Extend and flick

Next I like to extend the the line towards my tear duct. I apply thin with an even thinner line than what we used in the center, this is because it makes the liner look more realistic as towards your tear duct your lashes are smaller. After that I create the flick. I do this by following my lower lash line and bringing it out with one single line (don't fill yet!)

Step 4 | Complete the liner
I don't know whats happened to my eyes in this picture, they look so freaky!
Now you'll want to join the center line to the end of the flick that's attached to your lower lash line. Finally just connect the tip of the flick to the rest of the line by curving it out, finally just fill in the triangular shape and you should be done.

Sorry if that wasn't explained overly well, as i said I am no professional and their might be a certain way to apply a winged eye, but this way just works best for me. I admit this does take some practice, but its worth it because I love this look and its most definitely in for autumn and winter. I hope this helped in some way.

Favourite Nail Polishes | Autumn/Fall edition

Hello! I know these colors don't look very Autumnal at first glance, but as I enjoy wearing colorful things, I thought I would share with you a few of my favourite nail polishes which are actually rather Autumnal colors if you think about it!
I have tried to pick some that you may not have seen or tried before in hope you may pick them up and give them a go!
 Hope you enjoy.
Also I'm not sure whether I say nail varnish or nail polish.. so there may be a mixture in here haha.

Kiko 'nail lacquer' in '372'
This is a creamy type color with a slight purple undertone.
I love wearing this color because it comes out very strongly and looks natural on the nails but still a pretty color.
The kiko nail lacquers are actually amazing and you only need one coat.
I have a few colors and they all work perfectly without chipping for a while.
My nearest 'Kiko' shop is in Westfield - London so if you're not sure where yours is then look it up.  They are also fairly cheap - around £4.

Revlon 'nail enamel' in 'Butterfly'
I love oranges in the Fall because it reminds me of halloween and leaves.
I do wear this color all year round however I prefer it in the Autumn.
This particular nail polish is a mini size as it came in a set (with the one below) and I love the color.
The orange is not too bright and it is fairly dark but still adds a bit of color to your outfit.  Perfect for halloween too!
I do need a couple of coats of this nail polish but after that and a top coat it tends to stay on pretty well.
You can buy these (full sized) for just £4.49 at Boots.

Revlon 'nail enamel' in 'Moss'
This nail polish is the same as the one above but a different color.
I love this color because it is quite unique and definitely perfect for the Fall.
It looks very pretty with darker outfits and I often like adding a clear sparkly nail varnish over the top because this looks very different and pretty.
This color also reminds me of leaves in Autumn.
Just like 'butterfly' you can buy these full sized in Boots for just £4.49.

Avon 'Nailwear Pro' in 'Sequined Turquoise'
I got this nail varnish last christmas and have only just rediscovered it and started to wear it.
I love wearing sparkly nail varnishes in the Fall and Winter because I think they go with a lot and to me they look magical (like christmas)!
 Haha, I love christmas.
I think the dark turquoise color is  a good color because it is not christmas yet and thats when I get out the Red's and Gold's!
I need a couple of coats of this nail polish but it looks very pretty and strong after 3 coats so I would recommend doing that.
These are very cheap from Avon - probably about £2-£3, I love Avon products and also they make very good christmas presents (I know its not christmas yet but still...)

All About Nails 'Nail Polish' in 'Caribbean Coconut'
Now by the name this sounds like a pretty Summer color.. which it sort of is I suppose.
But I think that light pinks look very pretty in Autumn too because they are soft and fairly neutral.
The brand of this nail polish is only found at Tesco I think, but I got it for my birthday and I really like the color
.  To get a strong color I use about 3 coats which can take some time, but I think its worth it.  This also looks pretty with glitter on top as it is subtle.
I think these are about £1.50.

Thank you for reading!
